Getting eyelash extensions can take an hour or more as well as cost you a tidy sum of money. Clean around the eye area, and do not wipe the eyelash extensions. Use the eyeshadow brush to clean your lashes with the specialized eyelash cleanser.

You can make your eyelash cleanser by mixing baby shampoo with bicarbonate of soda. Do not tug at your lashes as you clean them. Then pat them dry and proceed to blow dry them at the lowest heat setting. The hair dryer should be at least 20 centimeters from your face. Use the cold air setting to avoid frying your eyelashes or melting the eyelash glue.

Then use the mascara wand to fluff them as sparse them out for a uniform look. It is advisable to clean your face before or after your shower. Instead of during the shower, if you have eyelash extensions. You can also use an oil-free makeup wipe meant for eye makeup removal instead of the cotton pads and makeup remover.

Should you choose to use a face cloth wring out excess water. Be gentle as you clean the area near the eyelashes extensions. The same case applies when using a facial sponge. Avoid using serums or face moisturizer with oi around your eye area to avoid weakening the glue bonding the eyelash extensions to your natural eyelashes.

To strengthen the adhesive bond, use a protective sealant to make sure your eyelashes stay in place. You can apply this using an eyeliner brush. Do not steam your face as this will dislodge your eyelash extensions. Lastly, do not use cotton pads or rounds that are loosely packed as they may leave fluff on your eyelashes.
